How is ELELYSO made?

ELELYSO is a plant cell-based Enzyme Replacement Therapy for the treatment of Type 1 Gaucher disease. The enzyme used in this treatment is called taliglucerase alfa, produced in carrot cells.¹²

ELELYSO is manufactured using first-of-its-kind plant cell-based technology called the ProCellEx® expression system. The plant cell-based production system for ELELYSO uses multiple disposable bioreactors.¹³
