What side effects could occur with ELELYSO?1
All medicines can have side effects. Sometimes they are serious, most of the time they are not. You may need medical attention if you get some of the side effects.
It can be difficult to tell whether side effects are the result of using ELELYSO, effects of your condition or side effects of other medicines you may be taking. For this reason, it is important to tell your doctor of any change in your condition.
Common side effects are related to the way ELELYSO is given by infusion into a vein and occur within 24 hours of the infusion. The most common reactions include: joint pain, headache; vomiting; hypersensitivity (severe allergic reaction); feeling hot (flushing); itching; pains in hands or feet; chest discomfort; diarrhoea; muscle spasms; tremor;
Serious side-effects
Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the allergic reactions listed below and go to the hospital as you may require urgent medical attention:
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
irritated throat; infusion site pain; allergic reaction: nausea, limb swelling, redness of the skin, hives, swelling of the eyes, shaking; rash. Vomiting and abdominal pain were seen more commonly in children than adults. If symptoms continue or you have side effects, see your doctor, pharmacist or healthcare professional.
Do not be alarmed by the list of side effects. You may not experience any of them.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist to answer any questions you may have.
Other side effects not listed above may also occur in some people.
Some of these side effects can only be found when your doctor does tests from time to time to check your progress.
